Lachlan Murrell – Interview

Lachlan-Murrell

Lachlan Murrell is one of Panthers many promising young footballers. A product of the club, having started his Junior football in Under 8’s. The 18-year-old who is currently completing year 12, can be found on the pitch as a centre back or up front as a striker.

Despite the results and League ladder, Lachlan believes that the football being played by himself and his team mates is a level above that in previous seasons. “We battle each game,” he said. “We don’t seem to get the exact score we want, but there is plenty of potential in our group. This season is better than past seasons in my opinion.” Lachlan feels similarly to many involved at South on what keeps him at the club. “It is a family,” he told. “Everyone knows each other here, I like that the most.”

Lachlan has aspirations for Senior football in the future and when asked who we should keep an eye on in his current team as an up-and-comer, Lachlan jokes that there is only one name to know. “You should keep an eye out for me, that is what I should say!”
